Animal Rights Video: PETA Goes Behind The Scenes To Investigate Fur Trade

Posted on August 19th, 2007 in Animal Rights, Animal Rights Videos by Opal Tribble

Warning: This video is very graphic!

Although I don’t agree with some of the tactics that PETA uses I’ll still post their videos because they do post an accurate picture of the mutilation that many of these animals face. I’m really having a problem with seeing animals skinned alive while they are living.

There’s major disconnect going on with those who are doing this to another being. It is sad.

Unfortunately, there are many Michael Vick’s in the world. I saw this video several months ago. Why do some still think it’s ok to inflict pain on another being?

Fois De Gras: What is it?

Posted on August 18th, 2007 in Animal Rights by Opal Tribble

Fois de Gras is one is a popular delicacy in French Cuisine. The liver of the duck or goose has been fattened.

How it’s Done

Goose and ducks are force fed more food than they would eat in the wild. The food is usually ground corn boiled with fat produces large amount of fat in the liver. This gives the liver a buttery consistency.

I’m sorry I cannot get past the fact that they are forcing animals to eat through a tube. On what level is this humane behavior. It’s amazing to me how people have become desensitized to the rampant abuse that is done to other beings. When will it end?

I live in rural part of Maryland and it’s normal for me to see cows. It always bothered me seeing them tagged. I respect all life so of course that extends to animals as well as plants. I really don’t like seeing anything abused.
