Carl Lewis Performed Better As A Vegan
I loved watching Carl Lewis perform during his heydey and so I was happy to catch this video of him talking about veganism. Towards the end of the video you will see a quick vegan lasagna dish. It’s very simple to make. I’ve made something similar many times.
As an athlete I’ve been approached a lot about where I receive my protein. People automatically think you have to consume animals in order to receive protein. That’s simply not true. My protein sources are some fruits and vegetables, beans, and I occasionally eat tofu.

Okay…I couldn’t wait until later tonight to visit…haha…
I’m not worried about protein since the Average American Dieter consume 3 to 4 times more protein than they need anyhow…which in return causes other programs. I am just always looking for ideas and things to try and add to my diet, so I am curious about others, you know???
A question tho about the Lasagna…why did they put vegan mayo in it??? jw
Great videos! I have a book that he contributed some of the recipes to! btw

Wow- this is amazing. I usually lose too much weight when I go veg. Any advise there? I’m normally 120 (right now I’m 126). When I go veg I’m around 115. Suggestions? I also found out I’m allergice to wheat
Is it still possible to be veg?

But is it not true that non veg items like chicken and beef have very high protein content? I’ve heard that body builders take beef to improve their muscles..

Nice video! Although I am not vegan myself, my good friend is an athletic performance coach and he highly recommends that way of eating.

I stumbled across this blog while searching for inspiration to eat better in 2008. I’m a committed vegetarian, with a long stretch as a vegan before my son was born.
But lately the bad habits have crept back in–too many carbs, too much refined sugar, etc. Sites like this help me to focus on what my diet should really be like.
Great video, and I hope to see it updated here soon!

Wow, very interesting. I have to admit I still eat meat but not very often. Those videos are certainly inspiring live vegan. Thanks

I am definitely leaning towards veges now rather than meat. I am finding the more veges I eat the better I feel in the long run.

soybeans, lentils, black beans, kidney beans
veggie burger, Quinoa, black eyed peas…

Very nice video. The reason actors put more effort into it, I think is because they are constantly being watched and it’s almost a requirement. Also they have the money and time for personal trainers and fitness experts to standby them and help them.

Dude, I love Carl too! He owns!
